Size Guide

Choosing sunglasses online is easier when you can compare the frame shape and measurements with a pair you already enjoy wearing. Lani Shades are designed and float-tested in Hawaii for days on the water and everyday adventures.

How to use this size guide

Compare the measurements shown below with sunglasses that already fit you well. Pay attention to the overall frame width, lens width and height, bridge width and temple length. Most Lani Shades styles are offered in one adult size, and stainless steel spring hinges provide a comfortable, flexible fit. Because every frame shape sits differently, the best choice is the silhouette that feels most like you.

Eddie

Eddie is our classic square frame with balanced proportions and a versatile fit. Its easygoing shape works across a wide range of face shapes and transitions naturally from time on the water to everyday wear.

Moana

Moana has a rounder lens profile and a softer, compact look. It is a strong choice for anyone who prefers a less angular silhouette or a frame that appears narrower on the face.

Waimea

Waimea offers a lifted, expressive silhouette inspired by the powerful lines of Waimea Bay. Choose it when you want a more sculpted shape with an elegant presence.

Kahala

Kahala is our distinctive cat-eye-inspired frame. Its confident shape adds character while remaining comfortable for everyday wear.

Makani

Makani is our low-profile wraparound style, designed for a closer fit and more peripheral sun coverage during sailing, boating and other active days outside.

Makani Kaʻena has slimmer arms and a slightly tighter medium fit. Makani Kaiwi uses wider arms for added buoyancy and tends toward a medium-to-large fit. Kaʻena is rated to float in salt water; choose Kaiwi when flotation is a top priority.

Perfect daily shades

Just got the sunglasses from lani shades and I’m honestly impressed. Super light, comfy, and the natural wood look is clean. Lenses are clear and block the sun well. Didn’t expect to like them this much, but they’re officially my new everyday shades.

Everything and more

Great sunglasses. Durable, lightweight, and they float (this pair won’t be lost over the side of my boat!). The shipping was fast, too. You won’t go wrong ordering a pair of Lani Shades.

I got these glasses on a whim for my husband for Father's Day. His other wooden sunglasses just broke so these seemed perfectly. Love that they're made in Hawaii from bamboo and that they float. The polarized lenses are also great. They look super good on my husband and he loves the feel of them! Even more than his old sunglasses. Will definitely order more from here one day!

Love these shades! My absolute favorite shades to date. I love how clear and light they are. They work great with the glare of snow… and I can’t wait to see how well they work with the glare of the ocean!

Great Sunglasses

These are my favorite sunglasses. I haven't used any sunglasses for the longest time because I haven't been happy with them. But my brother had these and I loved them and bought a pair for myself. I'm very happy with these sunglasses.

Really nice set of shades made from a renewable resource!

Really nice sunglasses. Fit comfortably, are lightweight and have quality lens. Another plus, they are not from the HUGE sunglass company that is the De Beers of sunglasses. Probably the best part for me, as someone that lives on a sailboat; They Float!

Best Shades I Own

This is why my Lanis are the best shades I own: * The lens takes out all the glare without taking out any of the light - with my Lanis, I get a clearer, lighter view. Kind of incredible. * The (really good) polarization is particularly useful in tropical light and when on and near the water. * I'm very pleased with how comfortable these lightweight shades are over time. * I like the fact that they're made of wood - they look really nice and they're not plastic, a big plus. World's got more than enough plastic already. * They look good: high-quality and high-class. People regularly comment on them, and in Hawai'i, where everyone wears shades, that's saying something. Thanks for bringing this product to market!

I absolutely LOVE my Lani Shades!

I need another pair, because I keep my Lani Shades on our boat and I have them on all day, every day when we're sailing. I can trim the sails, pull up the fenders or anything else I need to do without fear of them falling off and the visibility is great!

I've given Lani Shades as gifts and my brother is getting ready to order a second pair, too. Not only are the sunglasses great, the environmental concerns of the company make them an all around easy choice.

Great Shades for a Water person

I live on an island and am constantly on or in the water. These are the only sunglasses that work for me. Both because of their excellent sun / glare protection but especially because they float. I used to constantly loose other sunglasses as they would always fall off when I am getting in / out of a boat. If that happens now my Lani Shades are still right there, floating in front of me. The best sunglasses for me are the ones I don't loose to the water.

Took me by surprise!

These bamboo sunglasses are really cool, way better than I expected. They looked nice online and when I got them you could tell right away that its well made and they'll hold up to tough use. I've been wearing them everyday and I can tell you its comfortable like you arent even wearing them. The lenses are good quality too better than my more expensive ones. Love these!

Highly Recommend

I like a few things about these shades. The frame looks good on most anyone’s face, they fit most people because the frames are flexible but don’t slide down your nose if they are a little loose, the lenses are crystal clear and clean easily, are scratch resistant, and they float! I just love that they’re wood and a local Hawaii company too. Two thumbs up 👍
