Refund policy

Returns
Our return policy, for any reason, is valid for 60 days for products purchased directly from us at www.Lanishades.com, Lani Shades local events and authorized retail partners. If after 60 days you become dissatisfied with your Lani Shades, please contact us and we will work with you to either repair or replace your Lani Shades in case of manufacturer's defects under normal use. Please refer to this page for care instructions for your Lani Shades.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Damaged Shipments
Your Lani Shades are securely packed and shipped in their protective case to minimize excessive packaging. In the event that they are damaged in shipment, please send us a photo of the damaged product, along with the packaging where it is stamped "Fragile" so that we may process a claim on your behalf. We will send you another replacement right away free of charge or refund you, your choice. 

Refunds for lost or late shipments 
Lani Shades fulfills orders within 2 days of receiving the order unless backordered or otherwise noted. Once our shipping partners (USPS for regular orders or UPS for customer selected expedited orders) receives the package, it is subject to their shipping policies and timeline, which is out of Lani Shades' control. Please consider this when placing a time sensitive order and allow for up to one month for delivery in the case of free USPS shipping. If you still haven't received your order after 21 days from the date of fulfillment, we will file a claim with the shipping service on your behalf. This initiates an investigation and if it is determined that the shipment was lost we will refund you the full amount. Please note that shipping services do not reimburse us for late shipments, only shipments that are determined to be lost. We will continue to track lost shipments and in some cases it may arrive over a month late, especially during the holidays. Please understand that this is out of our control and we can only issue a refund for lost shipments that are not ultimately delivered late.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, please first check your bank or credit card account again. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. Please note that if you used PayPal for your purchase there might be an additional delay of a few days. If you have not received your refund after 10 business days after your request, please contact us at orders@lanishades.com and we'll get it sorted out for you. 

Exchanges (if applicable)
We can replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at orders@lanishades.com and send your item to: Lani Shades 1189 Waimanu Street # 401 Honolulu, HI 96814, United States. 

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping Returns
To return your product, please mail your product to: Lani Shades 1189 Waimanu street # 401 Honolulu, HI 96814, United States. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. If exchanging, your product will be sent to you with free shipping. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can't guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
