Lani Ohe Eddie

~~~ ~~~ ~~~
The Lani Shades Lani Ohe Eddie, sustainably made of bamboo is our signature style. Lani means sky and Ohe means bamboo in the Hawaiian language. This timeless classic style for men and women was named after the big wave surfer Eddie Aikau who gave his life trying to save the crew of Hokule'a in 1978 off the coast of Molokai. It was sailing in these waters 40 years later that inspired the concept of floating polarized sunglasses that don't add to the growing problem of plastic pollution in the oceans that we love.
Available in Classic (natural bamboo) and durably dyed: Mauka (land - brown), Makai (ocean - blue/teal), Iwa (frigate bird - black), Ao (cloud - white) and Ono (delicious pink).
The Ohe Eddie Collection also includes the Aina (land) and Mana (spirit) sub-collections. The Aina style features natural bamboo arms and dyed fronts and the Mana style features our special engraving on the arms.
