Size Guide

Choosing sunglasses online is easier when you can compare the frame shape and measurements with a pair you already enjoy wearing. Lani Shades are designed and float-tested in Hawaii for days on the water and everyday adventures.

How to use this size guide

Compare the measurements shown below with sunglasses that already fit you well. Pay attention to the overall frame width, lens width and height, bridge width and temple length. Most Lani Shades styles are offered in one adult size, and stainless steel spring hinges provide a comfortable, flexible fit. Because every frame shape sits differently, the best choice is the silhouette that feels most like you.

Eddie

Eddie is our classic square frame with balanced proportions and a versatile fit. Its easygoing shape works across a wide range of face shapes and transitions naturally from time on the water to everyday wear.

Moana

Moana has a rounder lens profile and a softer, compact look. It is a strong choice for anyone who prefers a less angular silhouette or a frame that appears narrower on the face.

Waimea

Waimea offers a lifted, expressive silhouette inspired by the powerful lines of Waimea Bay. Choose it when you want a more sculpted shape with an elegant presence.

Kahala

Kahala is our distinctive cat-eye-inspired frame. Its confident shape adds character while remaining comfortable for everyday wear.

Makani

Makani is our low-profile wraparound style, designed for a closer fit and more peripheral sun coverage during sailing, boating and other active days outside.

Makani Kaʻena has slimmer arms and a slightly tighter medium fit. Makani Kaiwi uses wider arms for added buoyancy and tends toward a medium-to-large fit. Kaʻena is rated to float in salt water; choose Kaiwi when flotation is a top priority.

Awesome shades!

I love how lightweight and comfortable they are. The hinges give just the right amount of pressure to stay on without causing discomfort. The lenses are really high quality too. They’re bamboo but they don’t even really look like it since they’re dyed really well.

Impressed

Being an avid shade user and collector, this particular brand took me by surprise! Frankly I was buying it to support a friend. Guess what? I put my highly used designers glasses away and now just use the LOBW shades. Stylish yet casual, superior quality, and very affordable. (love the shade's case) ordering another one...

Try it, sometimes "change" can be a very good thing~

Best shades I've ever owned

I was skeptical of wooden shades at first. I was afraid they'd be brittle. But after wearing these for a while I'm convinced they're as durable as any shades I've ever owned. And I don't have to baby them like more expensive pairs I own. I LOVE these shades!

A whole new level

There are many makers of great shades but Lani has taken great to a new level. - The lenses are crystal clear and take away the glare without having to do so with taking away the light. - I love the wooden frames! They are much lighter than their plastic counterparts. The craftsmanship is flawless giving you smooth surfaces that also have enough friction that keep them on your face or on your hat. Additionally, if these do end up in the drink and are not found, I will only mourn the loss and not the contribution of plastic to the water. Note: My shades passed the float-test in the kitchen sink...no plans on testing beyond this! - The hinge hardware is smooth, sturdy, and without slop. Well done Lani!

I absolutely LOVE my Lani Shades!

I need another pair, because I keep my Lani Shades on our boat and I have them on all day, every day when we're sailing. I can trim the sails, pull up the fenders or anything else I need to do without fear of them falling off and the visibility is great!

I've given Lani Shades as gifts and my brother is getting ready to order a second pair, too. Not only are the sunglasses great, the environmental concerns of the company make them an all around easy choice.
